Build smarter, scalable Canvas apps by creating a real-world Task Management solution in Power Apps connected to a SharePoint (Work Tracker) list. You’ll learn how to design galleries and forms, implement filtering (including delegation considerations), and write back to SharePoint using Patch and bulk update patterns.
This pathway is hands-on and trainer-led. You’ll improve app performance with collections and OnStart logic (including Concurrent), calculate key metrics using Named Formulas and variables, and apply UI/UX enhancements like validation, notifications, and safe delete prompts the stuff that makes an app feel “production-ready” instead of “weekend prototype.”
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
Participants should have intermediate Excel skills and a basic understanding of Power Apps, including experience creating simple Canvas apps (controls, screens, and formulas) or completion of the Power Apps Beginner course.

How are PowerApps used in the workplace?
How PowerApps is used is as varied as Microsoft's customer base. A common use of PowerApps is as a data collection tool. Workers in the field collect data via the app on their own devices which is then collated in the cloud. The combined data can be analysed using Power BI to make data-driven decisions. The government of NSW are using PowerApps data collection to help reduce the level of homelessness, Priceline is using PowerApps to better serve customers and Virgin Airlines has included PowerApps in their safety compliance procedures. Our PowerApps course will empower you to create innovative solutions for your workplace problems.
How long does it take to learn PowerApps?
After our one-day PowerApps beginner course, you will be able to create a professional app that you can share within your organisation. You can continue on our intermediate course to advance your knowledge and capability within PowerApps. Learning how to integrate PowerApps with Power Automate and Power BI will open up lots more possibilities. Our Power Apps training can also be completed as part of one of our packages, which culminates in a Microsoft certification.
